It is very time consuming to calculate the exact minutes of HOS". However, we realize that other Bus Drivers could more than likely benefit from the Hours of Service App - Recap Calculator as well.

Follow these steps to use the Hours of Service App - Recap Calculator to calculate your shifts hours and to recap your hours of service available!

​

  1. Using the drop down list, "Select Your HOS Preference".

  2. Click on the Button to "Recap Your Hours of Service".

  3. Update your hours of service used for the last 6 or 7 days on the "Hours of Service Recap Calculator" based on the hours of service preference that you previously selected and leave the top row blank.

  4. Click the button to "Start Your Shift".

  5. Enter the "Start Date" and "Start Time" for your shift on the "Hours of Service Shift Calculator". 

  6. Close the Hours of Service App - Recap Calculator.

  7. AT THE END OF YOUR SHIFT! Open the Hours of Service App - Recap Calculator and select the button to "Recap Your Hours of Service".

  8. Click on the "Start Your Shift" button to return to the "Hours of Service Shift Calculator".

  9. Enter the "End Date" and "End Time" for your shift on the "Hours of Service Shift Calculator". 

  10. IF YOU NEED TO ADD ANOTHER SHIFT! Click on the "Add A Shift" button to add up to 5 shifts. Repeat steps 5-9! Otherwise, you are ready to Update Your Recap!

  11. Click on the button to "Calculate Your Day 7 or Day 8 Shift Hours".

  12. To Automatically update your hours of service recap, click on the button to "Update Your Available Hours".

  13. To Manually review and edit your hours of service recap, click on the button to "Review/Edit Your HOS Recap".

  14. Click on the "Start Your Shift" Button to return to the "Hours of Service Shift Calculator".

  15. Click on the "Clear Shifts" button to prepare the Hours of Service App  - Recap Calculator for your next shift.

  16. Close out the Hours of Service App  - Recap Calculator!

  17. When ready to start a new shift Repeat steps 2 through 9 without the need to repeat step 3.
